FIAT PUNTO Yellow Engine Dashboard Warning Light. The yellow engine dashboard warning light has come on a few days ago and it remains on during the complete ride. Otherwise nothing noticable as driving is concerned. Something to worry about fiat punto 75ELX 2002 Mk2. Its the engine management warning light thats on.

I believe it's the washer fluid light Here's a list of your dash lights and their meanings Left 1. Door-ajar warning light 2. Oil pressure warning light 3. Check engine warning light 4. Tour or Sport for the ECS 5. Security indicator Center Warning Lights 1st space down Left: 4-wheel steering oil level warning light Right: Brake warning light

All those bulbs for the center console are on the same circuit its seriously not uncommon for the bulbs to pop They are tiny 1.2w bulbs - see the guide I'd advise again halfords as they are mega expensive vs online via ebay for example If 1 of the 4 lights is working behind there - then the circuits fine its just blown bulbs pliers = be careful
by dipped beam i mean when you flick the light switch on the dashboard up one for when it's just getting dark - this is what i currently don't have on the passenger side by normal beam i mean when you flick the light switch on the dashboard up twice (to the top) for driving at night - working fine now by full beam i mean when you move the stalk up (or down - can't remember) for belting round

My dashboard/console isn't working. The speedo and rev counter doesn't come on when I turn the ignition key to the first (acc) position. None of the warning lights come on. The rear light panels are also not working. However the time clock on the dash is working (so there's a live). From what I've managed to find and check so far.

Headlights are computer-controlled, as witnessed by how after switching the engine off, turning the headlight switch off and back on turns on the parking lights. Clearly the switch doesn't have any single fixed function, so I reckon (this is just a guess) if turning the headlight Sounds like something got fried on the jump - possibly the alternator regulator/rectifier. The power steering takes a lot of power and if the battery is being drained or is just old the p/s will trip out on undervoltage. This was probably the original problem. Lights coming on at the jump points to reversed polarity. Then it came good for about 10 seconds. Then the tacho started to jump up and down, and the engine lost power. The speedo was also jumping up and down. The lights on the dashboard went out completely and the needles rested as if the car was turned off. I coasted down the hill, putting my hazard lights on, which was futile as there was NO power Faulty Tail lights or warning on the dash with no signs of a blown bulb, chances are its being caused by an earth fault and here is where you need to be look

Also the same fuse for the rear brake lights but can't seem to find a fault with the rear brake lights. Could be a faulty ignition switch or the wires directly behind.

It feels like it might break something but it wont. There are a number of small bulbs. Replace the dud ones and check before pushing the plastic back in to place. Apart from the screws it is held in place with clips behind the console. These are the ones that you have to ease out. Hope that this helps.

Question dos - The handbrake light on the dash keeps coming on and off, it's not a problem as such but does get rather annoying. Anything that could fix this? Actually, make this 3 questions - I am getting the head gasket changed as preventative maintenance - not sure if its normal, but the punto does warm up pretty quick. Hcsb.
